Events at Sheffield Arena

There are some fabulous acts appearing at the Sheffield Arena in the forthcoming months. The Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour 2010 gets under way on 29 June, with the Once in a Lifetime Tour 2010 the following evening 30 June starring the legendary Bay City Rollers, David Essex, Leo Sayer and The Osmonds.

Additional dates have been added to the sensational Rod Stewart tour and he will be appearing at the Sheffield Arena on 20 July.

Michael Flatley has not performed the ‘Lord of the Dance‘ since 1998 but he reprises his role as ‘Lord of the Dance’ at Sheffield on Saturday 30 October.

In November Paramore, Disney on Ice, A-Ha and Paul Weller take to the stage as do Simply Red, JLS and Peter Andre in December.

Dinnington Brass Band - a Band for Britain

Congratulations to members of the Dinnington Colliery Brass Band for their recent appearance in the BBC’s programme ‘A Band for Britain’.  The Band has produced a CD which is in the top 40 classical album charts and have made several appearances on various television shows such as the Alan Titchmarsh Show where they met up once more with Sue Perkins and the Breakfast show where they were interviewed by Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams. They have secured a £1m deal with a record company and hope to improve rehearsal facilities and train more people.
