I was at University of Sheffield last night for the BIN@Sheffield2011 conference dinner. A brilliant evening at Firth Hall with some old friends and colleagues from Digital South Yorkshire and the IET. Excellent local food with some fabulous music provided by Ray Gelato. If you get chance to see Ray and his band perform then make certain to take along the dancing shoes!

Robert and I had a lovely meal a few nights ago at the Golden Ball Inn, at Whiston near Rotherham which was recommended to us by regular guests Lynda and Trevor.  Unfortunately for  me, I had no room for dessert so we will be going back soon to sample one.  Since we went, several of our guests have also eaten there including an American couple who said they thoroughly enjoyed their meal and were well looked after. Ann.

Our regular supplier of bacon, pork sausage and black pudding have struck gold again – 5 times!!  One of their gold awards was achieved for their superb quality plain pork sausage which you can taste when you have your breakfast at Throapham House. The awards were achieved at the recent BPEX North West Roadshow and our congratulations are sent to them. Well done!
