Athletes from around the country are expected to attend the festival and in particular to enter the Sprint race which has been selected as a qualifying event for both the 2010 World and 2011 European Sprint Triathlon Championships. Hodsock Priory near Blyth, north Nottinghamshire, will open its grounds on 30 January 2010 so members of the public can enjoy the spectacular display of millions of snowdrops. The best displays depend on the weather and it is advisable to telephone in advance (01909 591 204) to check conditions. There are lots of other plants to see such as aconites, cyclamen, hellebores, irises and much more. Heading the line up at the spectacular 2-day event will be Scouting For Girls and The Saturdays on Friday 10 June while on Saturday 11 June The Music of Queen, A Rock and Symphonic Spectacular will draw to a close what will be South Yorkshire’s most exciting and live outdoor musical event.
