Fabulous artists appearing at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena in the coming months include, JLS, Olly Murs, Noel Gallagher, Westlife, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop and Mrs Brown Rides Again!! John Reilly’s new album launch at Letwell
John Reilly (Boy on a Dolphin) is once again performing at the wonderful intimate venue, Letwell Village Hall on Tuesday 11 October where he is celebrating the launch of his new album ‘Zebulon’ which is due to be released 24 hours before the show. Boy On A Dolphin at Letwell Village Hall
Sheffield band Boy On A Dolphin are playing at Letwell Village Hall on 28th and 29th June.
This is an intimate venue just a mile or so down the road from Throapham House. I went to see Phil Cool and Ken Nicol there last year and had a really nice evening – and some nice red wine! Quite amazing who performs here and I look forward to going along to a few more of these events.

Britain’s Got Talent Live at the Motorpoint Arena June 24th
Britain’s Got Talent Live is at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on Friday 24th June. Tickets are available now so get booking and don’t forget to book your local accommodation! Throapham House is less than 13 miles away from the venue allowing you ample time before the event to perhaps try some local restaurants whilst you visit. Why not stay an extra night and and spend Saturday exploring some of the wonderful countryside nearby. Events at Sheffield Arena
There are some fabulous acts appearing at the Sheffield Arena in the forthcoming months. The Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour 2010 gets under way on 29 June, with the Once in a Lifetime Tour 2010 the following evening 30 June starring the legendary Bay City Rollers, David Essex, Leo Sayer and The Osmonds.
Additional dates have been added to the sensational Rod Stewart tour and he will be appearing at the Sheffield Arena on 20 July.
Michael Flatley has not performed the ‘Lord of the Dance‘ since 1998 but he reprises his role as ‘Lord of the Dance’ at Sheffield on Saturday 30 October.
In November Paramore, Disney on Ice, A-Ha and Paul Weller take to the stage as do Simply Red, JLS and Peter Andre in December.

Dinnington Brass Band – a Band for Britain
Congratulations to members of the Dinnington Colliery Brass Band for their recent appearance in the BBC’s programme ‘A Band for Britain’. The Band has produced a CD which is in the top 40 classical album charts and have made several appearances on various television shows such as the Alan Titchmarsh Show where they met up once more with Sue Perkins and the Breakfast show where they were interviewed by Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams. They have secured a £1m deal with a record company and hope to improve rehearsal facilities and train more people.
