Tickhill

Tickhill is a thriving village just a few miles from Throapham with a great range of traditional shops, pubs and places to eat. A walk around the mill pond is quite enjoyable but remember to take some food for the ducks! If you’re visiting Throapham House for a celebration then Tickhill is well worth a visit for that special present.

Taylors of Tickhill – Traditional Grocer

Taylor’s of Tickhill is a traditional grocery store offering specialities such as the fresh coffee and smoked salmon which we serve at Throapham House. Whenever we go in here I’m reminded of the grocery store ‘Holland’s Grocers’ on the Ballifield estate in Sheffield where I spent the first seven years of my life and it’s great to be able to pick up some of the ranges we used to sell.
