If you like visiting historic houses, Hardwick Hall is a fine Elizabethan property set in beautifully landscaped gardens just about half an hour drive from Throapham House. You can also explore the ruins of Hardwick Old Hall just to the side which was the former home of Bess of Hardwick. Hardwick Hall is just one of many National Trust properties within easy reach of us.
