Clumber Park is owned by the National Trust and just over 11 miles from Throapham House. It’s been a favourite family day out for local people over many years and is ideal for a gentle stroll in beautiful parkland or more energetic activities such as cycling through the many forest trails. Watch out for the programme of open air concerts!
The Peak District National Park is one of the most beautiful areas of England with the Hope Valley being just 25 miles from Throapham House. Whether you enjoy hill walking, visiting some of the natural wonders of the Pennine landscape or the many magnificent stately homes it’s well worth a visit.
