The Black Lion at Firbeck serves great food and fine beers
One of the favourite pubs with our guests serving a good range of beers and excellent pub food. It is about 2.5 miles from Throapham House.
The pub is closed on Mondays, but otherwise food is served every day except Sunday evenings. We have sample menus available in our guest information.
The Black Lion can be quite busy towards the weekend so it is probably best to book from Thursday evening through to Sunday lunchtime. The telephone number is 01709 812575.
Serves a good range of beers so is popular with local people. Serves pub food Friday through Sunday lunch. Sunday lunchtimes are usually very busy, especially if the weather is fine, but they do serve through to 4:30pm and will try their best to accommodate you.

I popped into the Black Lion on Saturday lunchtime on my way back from shopping in Tickhill to find that the pub had just been named CAMRA’s 2012 Pub of the Year in Rotherham. I must admit my pint of Abbeydale Moonshine went down a treat.
